From October 2026, Zurich will enter the Australian personal home insurance market while expanding our existing motor footprint through a newly enhanced partnership with Honey Insurance. This is a significant milestone for our business, combining Zurich’s underwriting strength and claims expertise with Honey’s digital-first approach to deliver a faster, smarter and more seamless experience for customers.
This role sits at the heart of that launch, leading a newly formed team of Claims Advisors and shaping how we deliver a modern, digital-first motor claims experience.
As a Claims Team Leader for motor insurance, you’ll lead performance, support your team to thrive, and ensure every customer interaction reflects empathy, clarity and care. You’ll play a key role in embedding new ways of working, lifting capability, and delivering strong outcomes for customers, people and the business during this exciting phase of growth.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Motor Claims Advisors to deliver strong customer, quality and performance outcomes
- Drive team performance across customer experience, quality, productivity, risk and financial measures
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback and build capability through ongoing development conversations
- Monitor performance data and take action to improve results and address gaps
- Manage team workflows and capacity, including during surge or catastrophe events
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer outcomes

In order to be successful, you will have the following:
- Proven experience leading teams within an insurance or claims environment
- Strong knowledge of motor claims and end-to-end claims processes
- Experience managing performance across customer, quality and operational metrics
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation, codes and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements
- Experience leading change, transformation or process improvement initiatives
